About Web Hosting Pages

Web Hosting Pages was a creation of frustration - frustration at the state of web hosting information for consumers.

We were selling webhosting back in 2000 before everyone and their dog started to. And we ended up selling our company in 2002 - it was a tough business that was not something we wanted to do.

Over time our other sites grew. We got multiple dedicated servers. We out-grew that and started to colocate. We out-grew just having our own and ended up getting our own cabinet. We out-grew our 20 amp circuit and had to add another.

As of right now, we own and operate 13 dedicated servers - meaty servers with dual dualcore Opterons, 8GB+ RAM, 3x72GB 10k RPM drives, and so forth (those are just the web servers - the database servers eat them for breakfast).

Over 8 years of running sites, small and large, has taught us a lot.

Looking around, all the web hosting "sites" are nothing more than shill sites that try to push you off to whichever affiliate pays them the best. Consumers know no-better, and get hoodwinked from finding quality information on good web hosts and bad ones.

But not content to just show you web hosts (and we only allow webhosts that are real businesses), we backed up what we know with a useful web hosting frequently asked questions to help newbies and experienced people alike.
